The 34-year-old will now serve a three-match ban for an incident caught on video during Cardiff City's 3-0 loss to South Wales rivals Swansea City on Saturday evening
The 34-year-old was involved in an altercation with Jonathan de Guzman that was not picked up by the match officials, but a panel of former referees used video evidence to rule that Bellamy committed violent conduct.
Cardiff confirmed Bellamy "reluctantly" accepted the charge, and will now miss Premier League games against Aston Villa and Hull City, plus the club's FA Cup fifth-round tie with Wigan.
An official statement read: "Cardiff City’s Craig Bellamy will serve a three-match suspension with immediate effect after he accepted an FA charge of violent conduct.
"Bellamy was charged following an incident which occurred during Cardiff’s game against Swansea City on Saturday.
"The incident was not seen by the match officials but caught on video."
