Norwich boss Hughton keen to involve wantaway Hoolahan

The midfielder did not hide his desire to leave Carrow Road during the January transfer window and his manager insists he harbors no hard feelings towards the player
Chris Hughton has confirmed wantaway midfielder Wes Hoolahan will be in Norwich City's squad for the visit of Manchester City.

The Republic of Ireland international made it clear he wanted to leave Carrow Road during the transfer window, having become frustrated at a lack of first-team opportunities, and both Aston Villa and West Brom were linked with a deadline-day move.

However, Hoolahan remained at Norwich and Hughton has no hard feelings towards the 31-year-old.

"Wes will be in the squad," Hughton said ahead of Saturday's clash with Manuel Pellegrini's men. "There is only one thing that is certain now; Wes will be here.

"Wes is very committed. We have a 14-game end-of-season run-in and he's very much there for the challenge, very much part of the squad.

"He's very motivated. He's knuckled down very well in training. He is a good player as we are all aware of and he will be fighting the same as everyone else for a place."

Hoolahan has only featured nine times in the Premier League this season, with the last of his five starts coming in a 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace on New Year's Day.
