Everton striker Nikica Jelavic says he has spoken to Steve Bruce about a transfer to Hull City and agreed to move to the KC Stadium.

The Toffees revealed on Friday that they had agreed a fee for the Croatia international and given permission for him to talk to the Tigers.

Jelavic has now confirmed he is keen on a move to Hull after speaking with manager Bruce and is looking forward to a new challenge.

"Steve Bruce called me and told me that he wants me in his team as a leading attacker,” Jelavic told Croatian newspaper Jutarnji list.

"He asked me if I'm ready to move, then talked briefly about the club, his coaching philosophy and about the club's goals.

"He was very confident during that conversation and after that I agreed to move to Hull City.

"The club suits me and I'm happy that the clubs have found an agreement for my transfer."

Jelavic has made just six starts for Everton this season, scoring twice, with both goals coming in the FA Cup third round win over QPR.
