The France international has played down links with the French champions and says he will remain at St James' Park for the rest of the season
Coach Laurent Blanc has long been an admirer of the France international stating his interest in the midfielder back in July and again in August.
The former Manchester United man reiterated his admiration of Cabaye again last month saying he “always thought that Cabaye is a very good player" although manager Alan Pardew has dismissed reports he may leave the club.
However, Cabaye insists rumours of a move to PSG in January are wide of the mark and he is expecting to stay at St James’ Park.
"There is nothing [with PSG], I'm a Newcastle player and until proven otherwise, I'll still be here [at the end of the January transfer window]," he told Canal+.
The France international was a transfer target for Arsenal during the summer who had hoped to land the former Lille man in a £10 million deal.
However, Arsene Wenger has recently ruled out a new approach for the 27-year-old insisting he does not need to strengthen his midfield.
