thumbnail Hello,

The goalkeeper says his team can enjoy success this year as they are yet to hit top form and wants the Blues to kill games off earlier to avoid dropping points unnecessarily

Petr Cech says his side have a "big chance" of winning the title with Chelsea currently just two points behind Premier League leaders Liverpool.

Jose Mourinho’s men missed the chance to move level on points with the Reds on Monday after drawing 0-0 with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

However, Cech remains confident Jose Mourinho can lead the club to the title and warned their rivals the team will improve as the season progresses.

"We are right up there - we are two points. We don't depend on anyone else," he told reporters.

"If we win our games we have a big chance of winning the title so it's very positive and we know that we haven't hit the best level of this team yet. We are improving and hopefully that will show.

"Jose Mourinho doesn't have a magic wand and you wave the wand and everything goes the way you want. If you come you need to find what you have in your team, learn how the people are and how they work."

The Chelsea goalkeeper also feels his side must be more clinical in front of goal to avoid dropping unnecessary points.

"I think we need to re discover our killer instinct in the way that when we have chances to kill games off we need to do it," he added. "You can't keep your opponent alive and it happened to us many times this year.

"Even last game against Palace we could have killed the game off and we ended up fighting until the final seconds. This is one of the examples where we need to improve.

"We also looked like we were organised and looked like a team that could hit Arsenal on the counter and kill the game."
