Agent: Berbatov wants Fulham exit in January

The former Tottenham and Manchester United striker wants to leave Craven Cottage during the next transfer window, his representative reveals, after scoring just once this season
Dimitar Berbatov wants to leave Fulham in January, according to his agent, Emil Dantchev.

The Cottagers have struggled in the Premier League this season, leading to Martin Jol losing his job as manager and being replaced by Rene Meulensteen.

And Berbatov, whose contract expires in the summer, apparently has no intention of sticking around at Craven Cottage much longer to help the new Fulham boss in his attempts to guide the west London club back up the table.

"I don't usually speculate as nobody knows what will happen in January but what I can tell you is [Berbatov] is not happy at Fulham," Dantchev is quoted as saying by The Guardian. "He would like, if possible, to find another option."

Berbatov himself has found life tough this season and has scored just once in the Premier League.

Yet, despite the Bulgarian's struggles, Dantchev is still sure that his client can attract interest from top clubs in England.

"I cannot comment [on whether there has been any approach] but the priority is to find a solution to stay in England," he stated.
