Juventus have warned Arsenal that striker Fernando Llorente is not for sale and that he will remain with the Serie A club.

Goal exclusively revealed on Monday that the Gunners had made contact with the former Athletic Bilbao striker's advisers, with a view to a January loan move.

Juve sporting director Giuseppe Marotta has responded with a hands-off warning, however, insisting that the Spain striker is not for sale and that the club are happy with his progress following his summer switch to Turin.

"The player is not for sale, he never has been, he remains with us," he told Tuttosport.

"There is great confidence in him, he is reaching the top of the physical condition. We are very happy with him and his progress."

Llorente has scored three goals in 10 games for Juventus and was on target in his side's 2-2 draw with Real Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.
