The Germany international has been sidelined since August after picking up a hamstring injury in the Champions League play-off victory over Fenerbahce, with boss Arsene Wenger anticipating that he could be out for up to 10 weeks.

Podolski had begun the season in impressive form, scoring twice in a 3-1 Premier League win at Fulham on August 24 before picking up the injury in the 2-0 triumph over the Turkish outfit three days later.
The former Bayern Munich star has had to frustratingly watch on as his Gunners team-mates continue to lead the way at the top of the Premier League, with Saturday's victory over Crystal Palace keeping them two points clear at the summit.
Arsenal will be looking to get back to winning ways against Liverpool on Saturday, however, after they were dumped out of the Capital One Cup by Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday evening.
