The 66-year-old manager admits he has no knowledge of a reported clause in the Frenchman's loan switch that would allow the striker to move to St James' Park on a permenant basis
Goal revealed on Thursday that the Magpies hope to activate an £8 million clause in the Frenchman's contract after bagging five goals in as many games, though Remy is keen to keep his options open until the summer.

“I don’t know what the deal is,” he admitted to reporters in his Friday press conference. “I don’t know what the chairman Tony Fernandes or [chief executive] Philip Beard have agreed.
“I don’t know whether there’s a fee agreed or not. He’s certainly playing well for them. I said last season that he’s a 10 to 15-goal a season man.”
Remy was the Hoops' top scorer last season as they were relegated to the Championship, notching six times in 14 appearances, and is only one goal shy of that tally this term after overcoming a calf injury.
