The goalkeeper is glad to have remained at the Britannia Stadium during the summer despite being linked with bigger clubs, but has not ruled out a future moveAsmir Begovic admits he is flattered by speculation linking him to other Premier League sides, but insists he is happy at Stoke City.
Manchester United and Arsenal were both reportedly interested in the Bosnian goalkeeper during the summer, but the 26-year-old remained at the Britannia Stadium and is enjoying playing under new manager Mark Hughes.
"I’m happy because I stayed at Stoke City," he told Mundo.
"I feel great here and I love my football here, but I can’t hide the fact that it was nice to be linked with so many big clubs."
Begovic, however, has hinted that a future exit from the Potters is a possibility, but the speculation is only serving as a motivation at the moment.
"The interest motivates me even more and I would really like to become an even better goalkeeper," he continued.
"I’m a very ambitious guy but then again, I’m pleased with the club where I’m currently playing."
