The Dutch boss has backed the 29-year-old striker, who came off the bench to net the decisive goal in a 1-0 win over Stoke City, to have a "good season" with the west London clubMartin Jol has praised Darren Bent's contribution to Fulham's 1-0 win over Stoke City on Saturday, and predicted a "good season" for the striker.
Bent arrived at Craven Cottage during the transfer window from Aston Villa and has scored twice in five appearances, including the winner against Mark Hughes' Potters.

"Players always have a good season if they are with me and Bent will have a good season," the Dutch boss told reporters.
"If you don't start him he might fall back into a [negative] mood but I spoke to him yesterday and he knows what my intentions are.
"He knows we want to build up scenarios for games like today and against Everton,
"Sometimes he can't start but my intentions are to use Bent and get the best out of him."
Bent's late strike lifted Fulham out of the bottom three in the Premier League and eased the pressure on Jol after a shaky start to the season.
