The Southampton manager insists Michael Laudrup's side have had enough time to recover from Thursday's Europa League group-stage win
Michael Laudrup's men have played in three different competitions in the space of eight days, with the last of them seeing the team continue their Europa League campaign.
Swansea claimed a 1-0 win in that fixture on Thursday against Swiss side St Gallen to continue their perfect start to the competition, but they now have little recovery time ahead of Sunday's fixture.
"Swansea have had enough time to recover from their Europa League match," Pochettino said. "We expect them to be a very competitive side.
"Every manager is different, every club has their own brand of football. Swansea are playing very good attractive and attacking football.
"I faced Michael Laudrup as a player and a manager in Spain. As managers we share a simple philosophy about how our teams play."
The manager did confirm, however, that they will need to wait on the fitness of star defender Luke Shaw, who has been struggling with illness during the week.
