thumbnail Hello,

The Arsenal midfielder scored his fourth Premier League goal of the season to earn a slot in our dream team, while Luis Suarez, Daniel Sturridge and Romelu Lukaku also feature

THE WINNERS

As tipped in our gameweek six preview, Aaron Ramsey's (5.5) form has been difficult to ignore and the Wales international continued his scoring run with a goal against Swansea City on Saturday.

An assist for Serge Gnabry's opener pulled Ramsey's matchday total to 10 points and, once again, the midfielder proves to be one of the must-have picks so far this season.

Luis Suarez (10) got his belated campaign off to a fine start with a double against Sunderland on Sunday which secured him 10 points. Concerns had been raised regarding the fluidity of his partnership with Daniel Sturridge (8.5), but the Liverpool duo linked up superbly and the England international found the net as well as assisting Suarez's two strikes to finish the gameweek with 12 points.

Another striker who gave defenders a torrid time this gameweek was Romelu Lukaku (7.5). The Belgium international grabbed two in Everton's 3-1 victory over Newcastle United on Monday evening and also set up Ross Barkley's strike to end with 13 points.

Robbie Brady (4.5) has been backed in past gameweeks as one of the budget picks of the season and the Hull City Tigers midfielder delivered again after his match-winning penalty against West Ham allowed him to gain nine points.

Two other value midfielders were among the winners this gameweek as Morgan Amalfitano (5) struck for the second successive matchday as he opened the scoring in West Brom's 2-1 victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Leandro Bacuna (4.5) also found the net with a free kick and grabbed an assist in Aston Villa's 3-2 upset over Manchester City.

In defence, John Terry's (5.5) equaliser against Tottenham secured him eight points - the same total as Cardiff City's Steven Caulker (4.5), who netted against Fulham.

GAMEWEEK 5 DREAM TEAM

THE LOSERS

It wasn't the best of weeks for those who have splashed out on an expensive defence. Only Norwich City, Southampton and Hull City Tigers kept clean sheets, while the likes of Pablo Zabaleta (6), Vincent Kompany (6.5) and Rio Ferdinand (5.5) all secured just one point after shock defeats.

Chelsea and Tottenham's defences fared little better after their 1-1 draw at White Hart Lane and with the exception of Terry, Jan Vertonghen (6.5), Branislav Ivanovic (6.5), Kyle Walker (5.5) and Ashley Cole (6) all failed to record more than two points.

Players who are still waiting for Robin van Persie (13) to come good have had another agonising week after seeing the Dutchman named on the bench in Manchester United's defeat to West Brom. With goals coming in from cheaper sources, the faith of many could be tested during October.

Another expensive flop so far has been Eden Hazard (9.5). The Chelsea midfielder may operate to Jose Mourinho's liking but as a fantasy football option, the Belgium international is struggling to pitch in with his share of goals and assists.

TEAM NEWS

To those who felt Hazard's two-point haul against Tottenham was the final straw, your decision to get the Belgian out of your team may be influenced further by the ankle injury he picked up against Tottenham on Saturday. The 22-year-old will miss Chelsea's Champions League fixture against Steaua Bucharest but it is not yet known if he will be available against Norwich City on Sunday.

Swansea City defender Ashley Williams (4.5) still has a 6.55 per cent ownership but the 29-year-old missed his side's defeat to Arsenal with an ankle problem which may keep him out until at least the international break.

Fernando Torres (8) will face at least one game on the sidelines following his red card against Tottenham but the Spain international, who is owned by 4.11% of players, could be handed a longer suspension if found guilty of scratching Vertonghen in an incident off the ball.

Sergio Aguero (10.5) missed Manchester City's defeat against Aston Villa through injury but the striker, who is set to return to the side for Wednesday's Champions League tie against Bayern Munich, should have no issues with being handed a start against Everton on Saturday.
