|5/1||Jermain Defoe is 5/1 with Coral to be Tottenham's top scorer this season
"I look at all the great players in the top 10 and to be fifth, it’s a dream.
"I’m trying not to think about it too much as it’s a long season, but of course it’s at the back of my mind every time I go on the pitch because I want to score. It’s something special and I want to keep it going."
Defoe, who was joined by Paulinho and Nacer Chadli - with his first for the club - on the scoresheet, emphasised the comprehensiveness of the victory and praised the efforts of the squad in their third game in six days.
"It was a great performance, good energy, we kept the ball well and that’s something we’ve done in the last few games," he continued.
"We kept another clean sheet as well, that’s important. When the lads at the back and the goalkeeper are all doing their jobs, it’s up to the forwards to get the goals to win us the games."
