The Frenchman scored the only goal of the game and says the positive result can reinvigorate a squad which has seen little reinvestment over the summer.

"If we'd drawn 0-0, I think we'd have not been sleeping because it would have been very frustrating.
"But everybody in Newcastle is very happy because everybody waited for a win - and we won."
A string of injuries meant Ben Arfa had scored just one league goal since December 2012, but, after an ineffective outing against West Ham, the France international says he worked hard to re-find his scoring touch.
"I'm very happy because I worked hard in the week on my shooting," added the former Lyon and Marseille man.
"Against West Ham, every ball went into the sky. But I repeat, repeat, repeat and when you work, you see the results."
