Liverpool name wantaway Suarez in touring party

The Uruguayan has been included in the Reds' pre-season tour party for this month despite speculation over his future, with Arsenal having had a bid for the striker rejected
Liverpool have included wantaway striker Luis Suarez in their 28-man squad for their tour of Asia this month.

Suarez has been heavily linked with a move away from Anfield this summer, with managing director Ian Ayre confirming on Monday night that the club had rejected a bid from Premier League rivals Arsenal.

But despite the Uruguayan's desire to leave the Reds, manager Brendan Rodgers has included him in the club's touring party of Indonesia, Australia and Thailand.

The touring squad depart this afternoon with new signings Kolo Toure, Luis Alberto, Simon Mignolet and Iago Aspas all on board.

Suarez and fellow Confederations Cup participants Jose Reina and Sebastian Coates will join the touring party at a later date having been given an extended break due to their involvement in the international competition.

The Reds face an Indonesia XI in Jakarta on Saturday before facing Melbourne Victory in Australia the following Wednesday and concluding their tour against Thailand in Bangkok at the end of the month.
