The new signing is looking forward to his new club's tough start to the season with the Villans set to take on Arsenal and Liverpool in their first two Premier League games
The defender is part of a raft of new faces at Villa Park with the Midlanders also bringing in Leandro Bacuna, Nicklas Helenius, Jose Okore, Jed Steer and Aleksandar Tonev so far this summer.
Villa have a tough start to the season travelling to Arsenal on the opening day before a visit from Liverpool, but Luna is relishing the challenge.
"The fact that it's two big clubs at the beginning is an extra motivation on top of the fact I am very, very keen to start the season with my new club," Luna told Villa's official website.
"Those two games add an extra point to my excitement at starting in the Premier League with Aston Villa.
"I really can't wait to get started. I have a great expectation coming here."
Luna is also hoping he can adapt quickly to English football and feels that Aston Villa is a club with a bright future.
"I know that a change of culture and environment is something I must now get used to but I'm looking forward to this," he added.
"I'm looking forward to picking up the language and to experiencing everything of my new environment and culture in a short time.
"I've always believed that I could play in the Premier League and to have this opportunity with a club as historic and huge as Aston Villa and with a manager who is building a squad of young players with great prospects is tremendously exciting for me.
"The manager explained to me that it is a young squad but also one with good experience and everyone is hungry, everybody wants to succeed here.
"This is perfect because I am keen to make progress myself and I want to be part of this."
