The Hammers have agreed a £15 million deal with Brendan Rodgers's side and the Londoners' manager is expecting a final decision from the 24-year-old by the end of next week

West Ham manager Sam Allardyce has confirmed that the club have an agreement with Liverpool to sign Andy Carroll and that the decision over whether he moves to Upton Park is now up to him.

Goal revealed on May 28 that the London club had agreed a £15 million deal with the Reds but that the England striker was set to reject a switch to Allardyce's side, instead preferring to fight for his future on Merseyside.

The former Newcastle boss, however, is hoping for a change of heart and insists that he has done enough talking and is expecting a decision from the 24-year-old by the end of next week.

"We are both out of the country but most of the negotiations are done and the financial agreement between us and Liverpool is in place," he told the Sunday People.

"It's about communicating with Andy and his agent between London, here in Spain, where I am, and Florida, where Andy is.

"I've no real need to speak to him over his decision. I've spoken to him enough times so he knows what I think and it's up to him.

"He's back in the next few days so we should have a definitive answer by the end of next week."
