The 27-year-old midfielder expressed his excitement at the prospect of playing alongside his Spain international team-mate after the former Sevilla winger completed his Etihad moveDavid Silva revealed his delight after Manchester City's recent signing of Jesus Navas from Sevilla.
The La Liga outfit, who finished 9th in the Spanish top division last season, confirmed the transfer of the 27-year-old to City on Monday, before the player himself revealed that talks had been ongoing for months.
Speaking at Spain's pre-tournament camp in Miami, Silva believes the winger is ready to adapt to life in the Premier League after sealing a £21.3 million transfer.
"Navas is at a mature age now and I am very happy to have him as a team-mate," the midfielder told reporters.
The former Valencia man also says he is sure that his international team-mate, Navas, will be a hit at City and is excited by the possibility of playing alongside him next season.
"He [Navas] is a great player and he will be very good for us," Silva continued.
Despite regularly making Spain's international squad, City will be hoping that Navas can replicate the form of yesteryear, following a modest return of no goals and six assists last season with Sevilla.
