The 32-year-old midfielder was released by Chelsea after six seasons, but says he enjoyed his time at Stamford Bridge despite being frozen out of the side for all of last season

Florent Malouda is convinced he can still play at the highest level in football as he prepares to weigh up his options after being released by Chelsea.

After six seasons at Stamford Bridge, the 32-year-old is a free agent after being deemed surplus to requirements, but he insists the positives of his time with the club far outweigh the negatives.

The task for Malouda now is to seek out employment elsewhere, and he revealed a clutch of teams are interested in his services and is eager to continue his career at a top-level club.

"I had great memories from Chelsea, winning the league and the cups," he told Sky Sports..

"The past year has been difficult for me, but to be honest the positive has been much better than the negative. I enjoyed good times at Chelsea with some great people at the club.

"I will make a choice on my next destination in a couple of weeks, there is some interest which means there are people still interested in me that believe in my football talent. I still have what it takes to play at the top level."

Malouda has 80 caps for France, with his last coming in the Les Bleus' final Euro 2012 group game.
