The striker believes his next club must match his own ambitions and says he is aware of the interest from Andre Villas-Boas' sideInternacional striker Leandro Damiao insists he is still open to a move to Tottenham despite the club's failure to secure Champions League football.
The 23-year-old has been one of Tottenham's long-term transfer targets, while Internacional's president, Giovanni Luigi, revealed last month that talks have been ongoing between the two clubs regarding the Brazil international.
Andre Villas-Boas' side missed out on a top-four place to Arsenal on the final day of last season, and while Damiao admits he would prefer to play in the Champions League, other factors will determine which club he plays for next.
“I know of Tottenham’s interest in me but I am happy to wait until the president of my club lets me know something official,” Damiao told reporters.
“I would prefer to play in a team that is in the Champions League, but the most important thing is that they share the same ambition that I have.”
