The former Blues defender believes the Special One can re-establish his old club as the dominant force in English football right away, and admits he will be cheering them on
Last month Goal revealed Mourinho has agreed to return to Stamford Bridge, having won back-to-back league titles, a League Cup and FA Cup during his first spell.
And Carvalho believes the Special One will once again hit the ground running in west London, and suggests domestic glory could be on the cards as soon as next season.
"I'm sure in two, three years they can but even in his first year he can win it again," Carvalho told Sky Sports.
"When we arrived together in 2004 Chelsea had not won the league for 50 years so I hope now they can win it again. Jose is a special coach and I think he deserves all the best because he works very hard.
"Chelsea are a special club for me and I wish for them to win the Premier League again."
