The 20-year-old is set to complete his move to Old Trafford having propelled Crystal Palace back to the Premier League, and his team-mate insists he can make an instant impact
Zaha signed for the Premier League champions back in January but was allowed to spend the remainder of the season on loan at Palace to aid his development.
On Monday the 20-year-old helped Palace to earn promotion to the top-flight thanks to a man-of-the-match display in the play-off final against Watford.
And Wilbraham praised his former team-mate’s contribution, saying he thinks Zaha is capable of breaking into David Moyes’ first-team plans at Old Trafford.
"He's going to a great club," he told Sky Sports News.
"Wilf's done unbelievable for us this season and he's been outstanding in the play-offs as well but he's going to go to Manchester United and try to burst into their team, and he's more than capable of doing that.
It has been suggested Zaha could remain at Palace on loan for another season in order to give him Premier League experience, and Wilbraham insists he would welcome him back.
“If the chance came for us to have him back on loan, we'd snap at the chance but we'll just have to wait and see what happens.
“I think Wilf's good enough to get in the team to be honest, he's a great player."
