The Togo international has started just 16 league games for Spurs this season, scoring just four times, and has failed to replicate the form that earned him a permanent move to White Hart Lane following a successful loan spell.

"Don't get me wrong, it's been a difficult season for me with injuries but I feel I'm getting fitter now and it's strange, I'm getting fitter and it's the end of the season," he told the club's official website.
"We've got two games to go and I will give everything I've got left in the locker."
Adebayor scored and assisted in Wednesday night's 2-2 against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, which keeps Spurs' Champions League qualification hopes alive, the the former Arsenal striker was delighted with his contribution.
He added: "It’s good to come here, to score a goal, get an assist and get a point for the team. Even at 2-1 we had to believe we had the quality to score.
"Clint Dempsey came in, Gylfi (Sigurdsson) came in, we know with that quality we can score at any time. In the end we scored late and we wanted the third goal, but it didn't happen for us."
