The Cameroon international defender says the Canaries are well aware of problems the Aston Villa striker poses ahead of their bottom-of-the-table scrap this SaturdayNorwich defender Sebastian Bassong says the Canaries are well aware of the capabilities of Christian Benteke ahead of their game against Aston Villa on Saturday.
The Belgium international scored a hat-trick as Paul Lambert's side swept past fellow strugglers Sunderland on Monday night, moving them five points clear of the relegation zone.
Bassong says he knows the strengths of the former Genk striker and believes he will be able to adapt his game in order to contain the in-form 22-year-old.
"Benteke is a good player. There are a lot of good players in the Premier League and week in, week out we play against one or two great strikers, so Benteke is another one we have to deal with," the Norwich defender told Sky Sports News.
"If you're going to be a good defender you are going to have to play against all types of strikers.
"Benteke is big, but he is good with his feet. [Luis] Suarez is shorter, but he is quicker. They all have different strengths and I have to adapt myself."
The Canaries sit in 14th position in the Premier League but could be overtaken by Saturday's visitors if they fall to a defeat at Carrow Road.
