The Royals' demotion back to the Championship was sealed after a goalless draw against QPR on Sunday, and the 22-year-old wants to repay the fans' with immediate promotion.
"It was always going to be a hard task for us but [the fans] stuck by us through thick and thin," Morrison told the club's official website. "They've been fantastic, so we have great thanks for them. Hopefully next year we can do them proud and go straight back up."

"We just need to build on what we've been doing, putting his philosophies out on the pitch and build for next year and hopefully come straight back up."
Morrison was part of the Huddersfield side that gained promotion to the Championship in 2011-12 and he believes that his experience of such a battle will increase the Royals' chances of a top-flight return.
"Last year when I was away on loan, the team spirit at the club was fantastic and I think the team spirit here with the lads going up was fantastic," he continued. "I think that's a running factor with teams that get promoted - they have great team spirit.
"We're not lacking in that at all - we've got an amazing team spirit here, the best I've ever been involved in at a club. With that, and obviously the fans, we've got every chance of going straight back up."
