However, City's assistant manager Kidd has pointed out that Adebayor has not been at the club to see the change from a side challenging for a top-four spot to one that has won the Premier League title.
Kidd told reporters: “With respect to Ade, he has not been around for the last couple of years and the boss has put silver on the sideboard in that time. So I hope they carry on fighting and arguing!
"If you want a fight and a confrontation, you can have it every day in a football club. You have only to look at the manager and the squad of players — they don’t like losing.”
Adebayor joined Tottenham in the summer on a permanent deal, after spending the second half of the 2010-11 season at Real Madrid, followed by a season-long loan at White Hart Lane last year.
