The Royals sit bottom of the Premier League, 10 points off safety, but the new manager is keen to focus on getting as much as possible out of each game as they comeReading manager Nigel Adkins says that his players are still smiling despite their perilous Premier League position.
The Royals sit rock bottom with 10 points between them and safety but, despite the club not winning since February 2, the former Southampton boss is refusing to rule out survival, with Saturday's clash with Norwich City a crucial game.
"We've got to concentrate on us, one game at a time, and give ourselves an opportunity to get as many points as we can," Adkins told the press.

"If we can keep building on what we've been doing then I'd like to think we can give ourselves an opportunity to win that game.
"We've got a lot to do, I'm well aware of that, but the way we've tried to approach it is one day at a time.
"We know where we are in the division but there's a smile on the players' faces and a determination.
"The attitude and mentality is good, if we can keep building on what we've been doing and build a bit of momentum - we got a good point in our last game - we're just trying to build on everything that's been happening.
"It's a very short space of time to have implemented all the ideas we've got - we're still on page one - but we're fighting to win games of football."
