thumbnail Hello,

The Potters midfielder is desperate for that 'little bit of luck' which can help them secure victory against QPR on Saturday and propel them away from the drop zone

Charlie Adam insists Stoke still remain confident of avoiding relegation despite their dreadful run of form.

The Potters have taken just one point from their last seven games, a run which leaves them 16th, level on points with Aston Villa in 17th and perilously close to the drop zone.

For one of the first times since their promotion from the Championship in 2008 Tony Pulis’s side look in real danger of relegation, but Adam believes two more wins will be enough to ensure survival.

"If we can win a couple of games then hopefully that will be good enough," he told the Sentinel.

"We need to start next week and hopefully pick up three points. The confidence is there but I think we need a little bit of luck. Hopefully we can get that next week."

Stoke travel to fellow strugglers QPR on Saturday and although Adam knows it will be a tight game, he insists that if his team can impose themselves on the game, they can take home all three points.

“It is going to be an edgy match, but hopefully we can go there and stifle them, get on top of them and get a victory," he added.
