thumbnail Hello,

The Toffees' Republic of Ireland defender believes that David Moyes's side can still finish in the top four despite being six points adrift of rivals Arsenal and Tottenham

Seamus Coleman has dubbed Everton's next game against relegation candidates QPR as "massively important" if the Toffees are to have any chance of securing a top-four finish.

Coleman admits that the Merseysiders are "massive underdogs" for Champions League qualification, but a win against QPR could close the points gap to just three.

Everton are in an impressive run of form, having not lost in their last three matches, whereas QPR haven't won in their last three.

"Every game is massively important for them, but it's just as important for us if we want to get that fourth place," Coleman told Absolute Radio.

"They'll be coming up here all guns blazing knowing that they probably do need all three points, but we feel just the same, that we need all three points if we have any hope of getting that fourth."

Coleman also believes that Belgian attacker Kevin Mirallas is key to their season's run-in, and added:

"He's one of those players you know, anything can happen when he's got the ball at his feet; it's nice to have players like that on your team.

"When you're feeling a bit tired or something, he can make a goal out of nothing and we need him firing on all cylinders for the rest of the season."

The last seven games of the season will be captain Phil Neville's last as an Everton player after his recent statement confirmed that he'll be leaving at the end of the season.  Coleman said:

"He’s been brilliant with me from day one; he's been a top captain and a top professional and he definitely will be missed about the place, but that's the game we're in and we have to move on and hopefully he goes on and does well for himself.

"Phil Neville's seen it all and been through it all, so, as I said, from day one he's been there and helped me on the pitch as well as off it, so, yeah, he definitely will be missed."
