Puncheon 'very happy' with life at Southampton

The midfielder was loaned out on three occasions following his 2010 move to the south coast club but insists he is finally settled and enjoying his football at St Mary's
Southampton midfielder Jason Puncheon says he is "very happy" at the club following a mixed start to life at St Mary's.

Puncheon signed for the south coast outfit from Plymouth Argyle in February 2010, but was loaned out to Millwall, Blackpool and QPR over the next two seasons.

However, having made 23 Premier League appearances so far this term, the Croydon-born attacker has revealed he finally feels settled.

10/1 Puncheon is 10/1 to score first against West Ham with Coral
He told reporters: "It's football and weird things happen. You have got to make the best out of any situation. It went well at Blackpool, not so well at QPR, but I'm now very happy at Southampton.

"I think you make mistakes as a player and as a human being, I've made mine, learned from them and am now playing well and enjoying my football."

Mauricio Pochettino's men are currently 11th in the English top flight and face West Ham at home on Saturday afternoon.
