Reading are currently seven points adrift of safety with 8 games remaining, and reports have speculated that the powerful forward, who has missed the last three games through suspension, will be looking for a move away from the club if they fail to avoid the drop.
However the Russian forward deflected reports linking him with a move back to his former club, and insisted he is concentrating fully on helping Reading remain in the top flight of English football.
Asked about a move to Zenit, Pogrebnyak told Sport-Express: "Nothing. The season is not over, so it would be too soon to talk about the future.
"Now, I focus on helping Reading to get important points in the Premier League."
