"It was frustrating," Vertonghen told the club's official website.
"Over the 90 minutes we were better team and of course, I scored twice, but I would rather we’d won this game.
"I’m pleased with my goals but believe me, I would give my goals away to even take a point.
"As I said, I thought we were the better team and I’m disappointed we didn’t get a win or a point because we deserved it."
