With the Reds having failed to beat any of the top-six sides in the Premier League this season, the striker is hoping to end their poor record with European football in sight
The Reds are currently 10 points off fourth spot - the last qualification spot for the European competition - with Spurs occupying third place after a club record 12-game unbeaten run.
Liverpool are yet to beat any team in the top six this season, but recorded 5-0 and 4-0 win in the previous two Premier League outings and Suarez is looking for another morale-boosting victory ahead of the run-in.
"We've been in good form recently and it's a good opportunity to reduce the gap between ourselves and Spurs," he told the club’s official website.
"There is a slight chance we can make Champions League football - and if we want to do that, this is the sort of game we need to win."
The Uruguay international has notched 28 goals so far this season, 21 of which have come in the league, putting him ahead of Robin van Persie in the race for the Golden Boot following a hat-trick against Wigan last time out.
