Reading striker Pogrebnyak will wait until end of season before deciding future, says agent

Recent reports had claimed the Russian forward would seek mutual termination of his contract if the Royals are relegated, but his representative says no decisions have been made

Reading striker Pavel Pogrebnyak will not be deciding his future until the end of the season, his agent has revealed.

Reports in the forward's native Russia had recently suggested that the former Zenit St. Petersburg man would leave the Madejski Stadium by mutual consent at the end of the season should the club be relegated to the Championship.

However, the player's representative - Oleg Artemov - has dismissed the claims that he has already made up his mind, and with Reading just one point from safety, plenty could change before May.

Speaking to Izvestia, Artemov said: "We're not trying to draw any conclusions yet. Reading have a good chance of avoiding relegation, so now we need to focus exclusively on the team's performance.

"As for other issues, we'll discuss them at the end of the season."
