The Magpies manager is confident that his captain will be back playing competitive football soon after a back injury saw him ruled out of Saturday's defeat to Swansea CityNewcastle manager Alan Pardew is hopeful that centre-back Fabricio Coloccini will be back in action within two weeks after missing Saturday's defeat to Swansea City.

Coloccini missed the Magpies' 1-0 loss at the Liberty Stadium with a back problem but Pardew is confident that the injury is not too serious.
"I don't think it's that worrying", Pardew told Sky Sports, "but it is a back injury, so we have to be careful.
"I think [he'll be back in] a couple of weeks."
The diagnosis means Coloccini will miss Newcastle's Europa League clash with Anzhi Makhachkala on Thursday but could be in line for a return against Wigan on March 17.
