Kone found it hard to settle at Wigan but delighted to be scoring

The Ivory Coast frontman is pleased to have overcome his winter blip and is keen to capitalise on his current form as he looks to keep his side in the Premier League
Wigan striker Arouna Kone says that he struggled to settle at the club, but is delighted to have re-discovered his goalscoring touch.

The 29-year-old has spoken of his frustration after enduring a barren winter run that saw him find the net just once in 11 outings.

But fresh from African Cup of Nations duty, the former PSV striker has rediscovered his form to net four times in his last two appearances, including a vital double against fellow relegation strugglers Reading at the weekend.

"I am delighted with the goals," he told reporters.

"It has been difficult to settle but it is a fantastic club trying everything for the players.

"We have a great young manager who we all want to play for. I hope to score more goals in the 11 games left in the season."
