The 29-year-old goalkeeper has been injured of late but is pleased with his side's league performances after their Capital One Cup success, praising their squad strength

Swansea City goalkeeper Michel Vorm says that it is "a pleasure" to play for the club despite his frustration at missing so much of this season with injury.

The 29-year-old has been plagued by medical concerns in 2012-13 but eventually returned for his side's 4-1 thrashing of QPR on Saturday.

"It's never nice to miss games," Vorm told reporters, "but at least this time I wasn't out for quite so long, only two games, and it was great to be back.

Swansea's backup between the sticks, Gerhard Tremmel, has impressed while filling in for Vorm and played his part in the team's run to the Capital One Cup final. The Dutchman feels that their run in the competition is explained by the depth in their squad.

"We have so much quality in this team," Vorm enthused. "Even though Leon [Britton] was missing against QPR, Ki [Sung-Yueng] and Jonathan [de Guzman] did well in midfield and Kemy [Agustien] came on in the second half and did great.

"It's a pleasre to play in this team - it's amazing."

Nearly every player touched the ball before Michu slotted past Julio Cesar in an exceptional team goal at the Liberty Stadium and Vorm opined: "That goal summed up our season, really.

"I always like to celebrate with the back four because we talk a lot during the game and every player knows what they are doing. We are really showing what we can do now, especially at home."
