The Netherlands international was given a torrid time in the 3-3 draw with Aston Villa on Saturday and, after being booed by his own support, took to Twitter to repent
Everton centre-back John Heitinga has vowed to come back stronger after admitting his performance in the 3-3 draw with Aston Villa was his "worst game ever" for the club. The Dutch international was given a torrid time by Villans striker Christian Benteke - who scored two goals at Goodison Park - and was substituted with his side 3-1 down in the 65th minute.
And, despite a Marouane Fellaini-led comeback stealing a point for the Toffees, Heitinga remained disappointed with his own efforts.
