Tottenham new boy Lewis Holtby has thanked his new team-mates for making the transition from Schalke "comfortable" following his debut against Norwich City on Wednesday.
Holtby’s made his bow as a 71st-minute replacement for Clint Dempsey, with one of his first involvements contributing to Gareth Bale’s stunning equaliser in the 1-1 draw.
And the German international, who only arrived at White Hart Lane from Bundesliga outfit Schalke on Monday afternoon, was quick to lavish praise upon Bale’s individual strike after expressing his delight at finally making his first outing in a Spurs shirt.

"I’m just happy we got the goal. It was a great finish from Gareth. That’s his quality.
“If you give him that space and he can get one-on-one and have a shot on goal, great things can happen.
Holtby also claimed his side were happy to leave Carrow Road with a point, despite Gylfi Sigurdsson coming close to sealing a win with a long-range effort in the final minute.
"We could have got the three points in the end,” added the midfielder. “Gylfi’s shot looked in all the way but it was a great save from the goalkeeper.
"We had a very good second half, put pressure on Norwich, tried to play football and did that really well in the second half.
