The Malaysian had admitted he would leave the club if he was unable to turn around their fortunes following the Hoops' FA Cup humiliation against MK Dons at the weekend

QPR owner Tony Fernandes has brushed off abuse received on Twitter, but insisted he will only continue at the club if fans want him to.

The Hoops slipped to an embarrassing 4-2 defeat against MK Dons in the FA Cup on Saturday, leading to many supporters criticising Fernandes on the social networking site.

In the immediate aftermath of the defeat, Fernandes had claimed he would withdraw his contribution to the club if he felt he could not turn around the Rs' poor fortunes this term.

“I can handle stick hahah,” he tweeted.

“Had it from Prime ministers politicians goverment airline customers. So twitter don't bother me.

“But at the end honor is important. As Chairman bucks stops with me. But I will stay on and continue if fans want.”
