Doni: There is an issue between me and Liverpool

The Brazilian goalkeeper has spoken of ongoing differences between him and his current employers but admits that he cannot reveal more until the matter is concluded
Liverpool goalkeeper Doni has revealed that "an issue" exists between him and the club and that he can only say more when the matter is resolved.

The Brazilian has only made four appearances for the Reds since joining them on a free transfer in the summer of 2011 and has not played a single game this season.

However, Doni denies claims that a lack of playing time is the problem and says that he will return to England after receiving a call from his solicitor.

"They say a lot of things. First, that I was unhappy with being a reserve, then that I had an ankle injury, then it was a pelvic injury and I don't have anything to say," Doni told Globo Esporte.

"Every time something new comes up. I can't say the truth about what's happening between me and Liverpool. We have an issue. When the matter is sorted, I will talk about it.

"I will probably be on my way back to England next week. I'm just waiting for a call from my solicitor. I just returned from Miami, where I was sorting other business. I can't say more than that right now."

Doni is currently in Ribeirao Preto, Brazil, with his family.
