The teenager signed a five-year contract with the Reds in December having been promoted to the first team at the beginning of the season, and has since won his first cap for England.
Sterling claims he is only interested in playing as much as he can for Liverpool, and is ignoring any talk involving him from outside the club.
He told the club's official website: "I try not to take in what people are saying and just listen to the manager and the people who have influenced me to play football.

"Hopefully I can just do well and not let it take up too much of my head, just play my normal game and goals and assists will come.
"I don't really listen to anyone apart from people at the football club.
"It is a big step for any 17 or 18-year-old to come and play in the Premier League with players like Steven Gerrard and the expectation is going to be high week in, week out."But as a young player you just have to keep playing."
The midfielder has also revealed his excitement over potentially featuring in his first FA Cup fixture as Liverpool take on Mansfield on Sunday.
He added: "If I feature on Sunday it’ll be the first time I’ve ever played in the FA Cup, so it’d be another dream come true for me."
