Nevertheless, the Spaniard feels that there is more still to come from the Reds this season and has backed them to improve.

"We need more experience and need to show more character in these type of games.
"You can see we have quality players and we have a good squad, but we need fo fight for every point we play for if we want to be in the top four."
The Merseyside outfit visit QPR on Sunday, and the 26-year-old has underlined the importance of a morale-boosting win.
He added: "We need to bounce back from this defeat. We need to go to QPR and win.
"Every game in this league is difficult but you have to give 100 per cent every time you play for this club and show character."
