Adel Taarabt insists that QPR can avoid relegation from the Premier League after his double against Fulham sealed the club's first win of the season on Saturday.
The Moroccan turned in a match-winning performance to inspire the Rs to a 2-1 victory that lifted them off from the bottom of the table and extended Harry Redknapp's unbeaten run as manager to four games.
Since replacing Mark Hughes in November, the 65-year-old has instigated an upturn in fortunes for the west London club and Taarabt is convinced that they can beat the drop by maintaining their encouraging form over the busy festive period.

"We are now unbeaten in four games and we know that we have to keep going like this," he told the Daily Star.
"If we can do well over Christmas I think we will have a real chance of staying up.
"I hope now we can start to believe in ourselves because if we keep winning games we will get out of trouble."
Taarabt struggled to impress under Hughes' guidance, often being played on the left of midfield, and the 23-year-old revealed his enjoyment in his new central role just behind a lone striker and credits Redknapp with allowing him to flourish in his natural position.
"It has been a long time since I have played in this position but the gaffer put me there and that is where I like to be," the Moroccan added.
"We deserved to win against Fulham because we created all the chances in the game."
