The 21-year-old managed to complete the full 90 minutes of the 1-0 loss to Southampton, but an ankle knock has thrown his inclusion for the Tuesday trip in question
Reading centre-back Sean Morrison is a doubt ahead of his side’s crucial clash with fellow relegation-strugglers Sunderland after suffering an ankle injury on Saturday.
The Royals defender was able to complete the 90 minutes of his side’s 1-0 loss at Southampton, but was seen leaving St Mary’s on crutches later in the evening.
Boss Brian McDermott is unsure of the full extent of Morrison’s injury, but he has admitted that an involvement against the Black Cats is a doubt.
"I'm not sure Morro' will be available Tuesday,” he told Reading’s official website. “It's his ankle and he's on crutches as a precaution.
"We've been unfortunate with injuries. I'm not one to really moan about it but we've had long-term ones with the likes of Alex McCarthy. But that's why you have a squad.”
Morrison joins a long injury list at Madejski Stadium, with Simon Church, Chris Gunter, Jem Karacan, Jimmy Kebe, Alex McCarthy, Joseph Mills all Pavel Pogrebnyak all also sidelined.
