The Senegal international joined the Hammers from Wigan on a free transfer at the start of the season and has amassed two goals and 15 appearances since.
Diame’s impressive start to the season has reportedly led to significant interest from a host of outside clubs.
The 25-year-old signed a three-year contract with West Ham in June but the club’s chairman has now taken to Twitter to reveal the midfielder has a release clause which could see him leave the club.

Reports have previously suggested that rival clubs are prepared to pay £6 million for the Senegal midfielder, but the size of the release clause has not been revealed by the Hammers.
The club were expected to enter talks about a new contract with the player’s agent this week, but Diame is believed to be in no rush to sign a deal.
Diame scored five goals in 96 appearances for Wigan before leaving the club this summer and also has 15 international caps to his name.
