Tottenham defender Dawson denies QPR rumours

The 29-year-old has rejected speculation that he will be reuniting with former boss Harry Redknapp at Loftus Road, although admitted his frustration over a lack of games at Spurs
Tottenham defender Michael Dawson has shrugged off rumours linking him with a potential move to QPR.

The England international was sounded out by Harry Redknapp in his first press conference as Hoops boss, but the defender insists he is not thinking of leaving White Hart Lane, despite a lack of playing time under Andre Villas-Boas so far this term.

"I'm at Tottenham. I'm playing my football and I played today [Sunday]," Dawson told London 24 after featuring against West Ham at the weekend.

"I love playing football and I want to be playing. There's no hiding that and it's hard when you're not.

"Every player wants to play, not just me, and of course it's frustrating. But I'm someone who keeps my head down, works hard and when you're called upon you've got to go out there and perform."

The 29-year-old spoke of his elation after his side collected three points against the Hammers on Sunday.

He added: It's a great feeling and great to get three points because these fans went through a hard week last week, losing the way we did against Arsenal, and it hurt the boys.

"We're back to winning ways in the Premier League which we needed to do because we haven't been having the best of runs in recent weeks."
