Liam Ridgewell has believes that West Brom deserve their lofty current standing of fifth in the Premier League.
Steve Clarke's men are level on points with Everton, who occupy the fourth Champions League spot, having recorded five wins from their opening 10, matches and sit above the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham and Newcastle.
And the 28-year-old stressed the need to stay level-headed as the squad look to continue their strong start.
"I think we deserve to be there," he told the club's official website. "In fact, I think we deserve to have even more points, to be honest.

"We've done really well but the main thing is to keep that going and show people it's not just the start of the season.
"We are going into a lot of games now with the Christmas period coming up and we've got to keep it going and keep picking up points.
"We know what we're all about and everyone connected with the club is very level-headed. The only people getting carried away with it will be people outside the camp. We know what we're doing and we'll carry on doing it."
The defender did, however, insist that the club's main aim is to retain their Premier League status come the end of the season and any further achievements must be considered "a bonus".
"We are sitting fifth and doing very well but we know our objective at the start of the season was to stay in this league and that is still our objective now," he added.
