Brian McDermott's side currently sit 18th in the league table with five points from nine games, though they have gone two games without losing in the Premier League, a 3-3 draw at home to Fulham and a 1-1 result away to QPR.
The 28-year-old feels that the Royals' only problem is their inability to hold onto a lead.
"The team's playing well at the moment - you can't say that anyone's playing bad," Tabb told the club's official website.
"We can't be too hard on ourselves - we've scored in almost every game and I think there's some great performances out there. We're looking and addressing things as we've been ahead in five of our nine games this season.
"We probably need to stop the other side having so many shots and put our bodies on the line."

"It's a home game on Saturday and one we expect to win. We're scoring goals at home and we're playing well," he added.
"We just need to get that first win in front of our fans and hopefully go on a little run."
